Australian Kit Willow Podgornik debuted her Willow collection at Australian Fashion Week in 2003. Since then the Sydney-based label has gone truly global and is now stocked in a handful of high-end boutiques in New York, London and other major cities. The Willow aesthetic is based on the use of luxurious fabrics in unconventional colour combinations, often given ethnic or earthy embellishment like appliqué or jewel decoration. Draping and layering are used to various degrees, so that individual pieces or combinations of pieces can be worn for day or evening.
