The British shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood's footwear has graced the catwalks of a whole host of designers in the past few seasons. He originally learned his craft at Central Saint Martins in London and then through the famous Cordwainers cobbler program, before launching his own line in 2005. The Kirkwood style is very distinctive - he manages to blend architectural-style construction techniques with super-luxe materials and finishes where craftmanship plays an important role in his designs and production process.
