Chrissie Morris claims to design shoes for ‘strong women who like beautiful things’ and this emergent shoe designer is certainly gaining quite a following of them. Her shoe-making career began to take shape while dabbling with leather as an MA knitwear student in Milan and before long she was working for Sinela Gallery. The London-based designer launched her own label in 2007 and now sells through an exclusive set of boutiques globally. Morris’ influences include art deco architecture, 1960s sci-fi movies and medieval motifs. The result is super-sexy shoes and boots that are as much objet d’art as they are footwear.
