Shoe and accessory designer Avril Gau began her design career at Robert Clergerie in the 1980s before moving to Chanel where she remained throughout much of the 90s. Having honed her design skills and commercial understanding, in 2002 she launched her eponymous line. Gau’s wearable and chic designs are inspired by French cinema during it’s heyday in the 1960s and 70s. Look out for feminine shapes that perfectly complement a working wardrobe but still remain appropriate once the sun has set.
