Y's was the first line by legendary Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto - he first showed it in Tokyo in 1977. Based on men’s clothes, the original womenswear collection featured oversized, tailored pieces in simple shapes and dark hues. Y’s for Men, which followed a couple of years later, just reaffirmed this aesthetic. The modern day collection sticks to those original principles and provides wearable, loose-fitting pieces that seem to transcend seasonal trends.
