Karl Lagerfeld’s illustrious career began at 17 when he became the Pierre Balmain’s assistant. After this 3 year stint, Lagerfeld embarked on collaborations with Jean Patou, Fendi, Chanel, and Chloé. His constant appetite for new experiences has led him to many new ventures including perfume branding, photography, opening a book shop, establishing a publishing company, writing a diet book and also illustrating Hans Christian Anderson’s “The Emperor’s New Clothes”. Today he continues to design for his own eponymous label and stands as Art Director for Chanel.
