The Parisian house of Nina Ricci was founded by designer Maria Ricci and her son Robert in 1932. 'Nina Ricci' became famous for Maria's ability to create beautifully feminine pieces with a real sense of romance. Since her death in 1970 several designers have graced the house but in 2006 Belgian Olivier Theyskens arrived from Rochas, bringing with him a younger, more exuberant and directional style. Following Theyskens departure, highly respected Peter Copping, formerly of Louis Vuitton began an new era for Nina Ricci in 2009.
