The Jil Sander label was created by German designer Jil Sander, who’s very individual aesthetic of minimalist form and stripped back decoration went on to influence much of the fashion in the 1980s and 1990s. With Raf Simons now in place as Creative Director, the Jil Sander brand is as popular as it’s ever been, turning out lauded collections of simple, beautiful designs. Restrained splashes of colour have become a signature of the Simons era, worked gracefully into the understated elegance that the label is so well known for.
