    Hardy Blechman is the designer behind Maharishi, responsible for creating one of the most copied trouser designs of the last decade – the ‘Original Snopant’, first launched in 1996. Combining intricate embroidery as embellishment on street style clothing, Maharishi created a strong fashion statement, resulting in Blechman winning the accolade of “Streetwear designer of the year” by the British Fashion Council in 2000. As a result of the success of the menswear collections, Maharishi launched their first women’s collection in 1999.
