Lumen et Umbra founded by designer Issei Fujita in 2006 is heavily influenced by the traditional simplicity of the clothing in his native Japan and combines traditional craftsmanship with innovative techniques. Intrinsic to Fujita’s creative approach is the experience of working at various stages of the creative process, gained designing at label Carpe Diem in 1999. Through the use of innovative fabrics and fabric treatments, all created in Italy, Lumen Et Umbra aims to create a link between “past and present, wildlife and big cities, tradition and modernity”.
