The Parisian house of Lanvin was created by Jeanne Lanvin and became one of the most influential design houses of the early Twentieth Century. The Lanvin look of intricate trimmings, embroideries and beaded decoration continues to this day, with Lanvin now under the lauded stewardship of Alber Elbaz, Artistic Director since 2001. Elbaz’s beautifully feminine take on the aesthetic has garnered him a huge female fan-club and the menswear line is now beginning to follow suit.

A.N.G.E.L.O. Vintage’s owners have been collecting vintage pieces and one-offs since the store’s humble beginnings as a second-hand market, some of which are now used in films, theatre and television across Italy. The philosophy behind this now grand, three-storey Lugo-based boutique is imbued with sentimentality, with a belief that the value of the pieces lies far deeper than in their appearance. The store near Bologna has become a Mecca for fashion designers seeking to take inspiration from its comprehensive archive collection.

Description

Black wool suit from Lanvin featuring a single breasted jacket, long sleeves, button closure and a rear vent. The trousers have a buttoned slit back pocket and are straight cut. Please note that vintage items are not new but often between 20 and 50 years old, and therefore will always have minor imperfections, even when the items have been used and worn with love and care.
