    Despite being relatively new, Layers has firmly cemented itself as the go-to boutique for avant-garde and contemporary fashion. Located in the heart of Mayfair, this unlikely location for a directional store makes Layers somewhat of a rebel among its nearby classic luxury retailers and keeps pleasantly surprising clients who discover this gem of a boutique for the first time. Never one to conform, Layers, with its light and airy feel, is not what one might expect from an avant-garde boutique but its openness provides a refreshingly relaxed atmosphere where clients can easily browse a mix of conceptual as well as more established contemporary men's and womenswear labels.

    Menswear label Julius is designed by Tatsuro Horikawa, whose dark vision includes playing with layering and slightly feminine details to create menswear that is brooding with gothic undertones. The current Julius collection is a suitably inky affair - washed fluid jersey, semi-sheer mesh knits and roughed-up leather are combined to create a range of clothes imbued with a certain shadowy charm.
