Designer : Jc De Castelbajac Vintage

Jean-Charles de Castelbajac is a fashion designer known for his playful designs referencing futurism, sportswear and in the 1980’s ‘Wearable art'. He was born in Casablanca in 1949, moving to France with his family in the mid 1950s. He first opened his own business in 1975 and while continuing to design under his own name, he simultaneously created Sportmax for the Italian house of Max Mara. He also started designing for the Paris house of Andres Courreges in the mid-90's. In 1997, Castelbajac designed garments for the Pope and senior ecclesiastical members of the Vatican. In subsequent years he has produced a collection of home furnishings in addition to his clothing line
