Surface to Air, born out of New York in 1996, began as an avant-garde artist collective and exhibition space, attracting innumerable well-known and emerging creatives. A Paris studio opened in 2000 as Surface to Air began to grow. Before long it branched out into many other forms of communication including publishing art books, design of a full men's and women's clothing collection, art direction and consulting on brands like Nike, adidas, North Face, HBO, Atlantic records, Vice and Sony among others, while still continuing to exhibit artwork worldwide.
