British luxury goods house Mulberry has its roots in the county of Somerset where it was established in 1971. Picked up by the famously cool Biba shops, Mulberry’s simple and slightly rustic bags and accessories soon became associated with ‘le style Anglais’, a trend based on the British country look that has proved popular ever since. Under the stewardship of various high profile Creative Directors including Nicholas Knightley and Stuart Vevers, the house has produced a lineage of iconic handbag designs like the Roxy, Bayswater and Mabel, all of which have graced the arms of the world’s style set.
