With the Menswear Fashion Weeks in full swing we thought we’d start
celebrating the style of some of our favourite men about town. First up,
London based producer Yes Sir Idol, whose heady mix of UK two-step and
melancholic pop can kick-start a party
and wind it down nicely.
But we didn’t just get the lowdown on his wardrobe, he’ also given
us an early look at the video for new single
Two Heart Race, directed by
The Au Agency’s Laurence Blake and Matilda Finn (who also count Marc
Jacobs as a client). So read on for some style insights and dreamy
electro…
Q: How would you describe your own style?
A: Modern classic.
Q: What’s your favourite thing in your wardrobe?
A: My shirts. I feel most comfortable in a buttoned up shirt.
Q: Whose style do you most admire?
A: I admire anyone that wears what they want with confidence. In the public eye Kanye probably balances this perfectly.
Q: What’s the most memorable outfit you’ve ever worn?
A: Back when I used to DJ, a designer (Gorblimey) once made me a t-shirt saying 'I Don't Do Requests' on the front in bright neon colours - that was pretty memorable...needless to say I got even more requests that night.
Q: What item of clothing means the most to you and why?
A: When my Nan passed she left me a blue velvet dinner jacket which was my Grandad's (who I never knew) so I do hold that close to my heart.
