6-month full-time paid internship The Role: Farfetch.com sits at the centre of a global fashion community and as part of efforts to involve that community more in the site, the team is integrating social networking tools into many functions across it. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Digital Marketing, as Social Media Intern, you will be responsible for implementing and then enhancing the social strategy for farfetch.com. Working with an understanding of the farfetch.com brand, brand values and using the agreed tone of voice, you will work based on a weekly brief.
As part of that brief you will be required to update the company's social pages including its facebook page on a regular basis with content that inspires interaction from its readers and you will maintain the conversations that are generated, communicating responses to relevant members of the farfetch.com team where appropriate. You will research and come up with imaginative ideas to attract new Likes to the page and to farfetch.com generally.
You will create and manage a twitter profile as part of farfetch.com's 'family' of profiles and tweet on a regular basis to inspire interaction from your followers and interest in the farfetch.com brand and site.
You will research new developments within the online social field, come up with ideas based around those developments and communicate those ideas to the team at farfetch.com.
Requirements: - A real passion for using social networking sites such as facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Youtube and blogs
- A love for fashion at all levels including high-end designers and more cutting edge street style.
- A good writing style that is accurate, adaptable and engaging, and a good use of grammar.
- A keen interest in the latest developments in social media including new platforms, sites and applications on current sites.
- A good understanding of the wider fashion industry, including a knowledge of fashion ecommerce sites, blogs and fashion magazines.
- An ability to work to a brief with clear deadlines but also to work independently.

This is a commercially driven role positioned around analysing online product, customer data & eCommerce functions to provide insight into the business as well as actionable recommendations for maximising product & business performance. This role requires a strategic business thinker who can analyse vast amounts of data around customer segments, stock inventory and user journey with the goal of improving the customer experience and increasing conversion. The role will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment and has a very commercial approach to customer data.
Responsibilities include: - Take vast amounts of data in raw formats and translate into a digestible understanding for product owners and business managers to use for actionable strategies
- Provide analysis around (but not limited to) online marketing channels, customer behaviour and lifecycle, product performance and conversions, promotion impact, industry & competitor trends
- Analyse digital marketing campaigns and provide an understanding into the performance of each channel with recommendations for optimization
- Analyse stock levels and amount of stock available to sell to find opportunities for category growth and enhancements
- Analysis customer behaviour and user journey to derive strategic recommendations to improve customer experience and conversion based upon findings
- Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of data and reports to ensure a high quality of standards
- Work with development team to scope out and implement new reports and tools
- Pull data from databases for own use or business owner use
- Create standardised reports as necessary for business owners

- Ad hoc analysis for the online division and financial teams
Key skills required: - Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills, developed in a commercial role preferably within an Internet or retail/consumer products business
- A good understanding of the principles of online marketing and eCommerce is preferred, including broad knowledge of web and retail metrics
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Experience working with databases, preferably SQL and Access. An ability to write SQL queries is a strong plus but not required.
- Preferably a working understanding of Web analysis tools such as Google Analytics etc.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
- A solid background working across many different departments, scoping out needs and translating into output that makes sense

Reports to: General Manager of North America Operations
Purpose of role: To build and maintain strong relationships with high-end fashion boutiques located throughout the US. To optimize online sales potential and grow the business through delivery of outstanding customer and partner service, by managing partner relationships and respective commercial & operational management, and supporting the customer service team.
Main responsibilities: Partner management • Create strong partner relationships, and work with partners on a commercial and operational level to optimise stock levels and sales potential online
• Provide daily and monthly account management to 6-10 boutiques
• Provide initial and ongoing training of online procedures from technical support through to best practices, encouraging all partners to have a customer-centric approach.
• Participate in store visits or other tactics to attain partner objectives, and regularly gather and feedback on partner performance into the business.
Driving Online Sales • Monitor Partner sales and Optimise Stock Levels (items & units) by partner, ensuring all desirable products are placed online as early as possible.
• Stock Timing and Photography Slots for product samples – ensure slot bookings are in line with product arrival in store, and manage slots process from booking through to stock upload• Pricing Control – ensure store, farfetch.com and partner site prices match at all times, and follow up on price monitoring suggestions sent by Assistant.
• Promotional Activity - ensure all partners participate in promotional campaigns proposed by Marketing Dpt.(Private Sales, Free Shipping or other)
Order Management & Service Levels • Speed & Efficiency of Delivery – manage order steps directly or indirectly (through partner, service provider or assistant), monitoring and ensuring max speed, accuracy and efficiency at all stages: stock, fraud check, payments, returns&refunds, and transport
• No Stock Control – working with partners and IT team to ensure stock accuracy, maximising customer order fulfilment
• Speed of Response - Assist CS team with order queries and swift partner responses
• Performance and Process Improvements - Proactively contribute with suggestions. BE CREATIVE.
Reporting, Support and Communication • Send accurate & timely reports and invoicing to partners
• Be a CONNECTOR between customer/partner needs, liaise with external services such as couriers or payment providers, be team player with all other internal departments and farfetch.com international teams.
• Provide regular updates on partner and process performance to manager
• Communication – ensure speed, clarity and language fluency in all written and verbal communications internally and externally
Qualifications: • At least 3 years experience in Client/Customer relations in a fashion or retail environment; showroom experience and AE experience preferred• Experience building and maintaining relationships with clients/customers and knowledge of specialty stores/fashion boutiques preferred• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously and provide strong attention to detail• Demonstrated time management skills and problem-solving skills• Must be professional, self-motivated, have initiative, be able multi-task and be detail-oriented• Travel 10-20% of the time (local area and domestic US)• BS or BA degree, or equivalent experience
