About the store:

Hostem discreetly opened its doors four years ago on Redchurch Street, a fitting backdrop to owner James Brown’s intensely personal curation of grittily handworked clothing. Inside, design duo JAMESPLUMB created an interior space that offered a skewed take on the world outside, low lit and forged from reclaimed antique materials. In 2011, Hostem was recognised at the World Architecture Awards, winning the top prize in their retail category. In 2013 work began on an entirely new space in the upper reaches of the Hostem building, a space completely removed from the hustle and bustle of the outside world, which coincided with the launch of Hostem Womenswear.
