In May 1998, Isabel Garcia and Armando Torres, took over Galy, a two-story shop on Avenida Bartolomé Roselló, one of the main shopping streets in Ibiza town. In the beginning the women’s and men’s collections shared the same space. After being able to acquire new premises in the same street, they decided to separate the two. Jean Pierre Bua is a pioneering multi-brand boutique named after its French founder. At the time of its inception in the late 80’s, when the international fashion scene was burgeoning, Bua was the first to import big-name Parisian fashion labels to Barcelona. The store’s classic contemporary décor combines cement and wood with glass and stainless steel. A spiral staircase connects the two floors, of which the ground floor houses women’s designer fashion and accessories while the first floor is devoted to men's fashion.
