MILAN FASHION WEEK: Day 1

1st March 2010

Daniela Gregis had her light-themed show in a stunning location, but only for a lucky few...
The Bergamo-born designer finds inspiration in family, and produces her collection in a small location in the most beautiful part of Bergamo Alta, where she also has a small concept store.
In Sant'Ambrogio church, one of the most spectacular gothic churches in Milan, where the paintings go back to the 400’s and 500’s, she held an intimate show this season for special friends.

Raw wools, taffetas, silks and cottons were the favoured materials in the super chic collection, where the use of madras checks, in all colours, from the most vivid red to grey, black and white, provided the strongest images.

Accessories also featured a very interesting combination of colours, with fuchsia socks teamed with yellow shoes! Then it was on to the after-show, where the cocktails were home made and there was cookies for all!

Andrea Molteni.
