A tribute to Alexander McQueen

It's a very sad day for fashion. The sudden death of Alexander McQueen has left the fashion world deeply shocked on this, the first day of New York fashion week. He was undoubtedly one of the greatest designers of our generation, possibly of all time. His collections and shows have always generated excitement and sometimes controversy, but over the years he has become the most iconic figure in British fashion. Both he and his creations will be greatly missed and our thoughts are with his family and close friends.

Just like everyone else, I was totally shocked when I heard that Alexander McQueen had passed away. It's always a tradegy when someone dies, but when that person has given so much joy and inspiration to so many people it seem all the more tragic.

It's not much but this it my tribute to a great artist - I will miss his creations.
